Maintain interpersonal ties, Najib tells PTD officers
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said sustaining good interpersonal relationships among officers in the Administrative and Diplomatic Corps (PTD) was essential for the success of the nation.
“The relationships need not only be formal but also in terms of understanding each other and believing in one another,” he said at the PTD Alumni’s 21st anniversary dinner here last night.
Also present were the prime minister’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Yang Dipertua Negeri Melaka, Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakub and PTD Alumni president, Tan Sri Sallehuddin Mohamed.
Najib also praised the alumni members for their contributions to nation-building, more so at times of great challenges. What they did could be felt to this very day, he said, adding that at one time Malaysia was not well known internationally but today the country was an important player on the world stage thanks to their efforts.
As such, he said he hoped their successors would follow in their footsteps and bring the nation to even greater heights.
At the function, Najib also launched a coffee table book titled “21 Years of Enriching Life,” which is a tribute to past members of the corps. — Bernama
